Pastoral and Church Anniversary
We will be celebrating Pastor Staton’s 6th Pastoral Anniversary and our 13th Church Anniversary with two events:
o Friday, October 25, 2019 at 7:30 p.m.- we will have a Night of Worship with our Praise Team and Christopher and Helen Holmes as our special guests.
o Sunday October 27, 2019@ 9:00 a.m.– we will have only one service at 9:00 a.m., where we can worship together as one family! Pastor Tyrone Stevenson, from Hope City Church, Brooklyn, NY, will be our guest speaker.
It’s Harvest Fest time. This year we will celebrate our annual Harvest Fest with a Trunk & Treat. Our Trunk & Treat will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. There will be food, fun, games, and prizes. Registration for children will begin on September 30, 2019 on Eventbrite. If you are interested in registering your vehicle as a Trunk, please go to www.psjbc.org, registration ends on October 24, 2019. Volunteers and donations are needed. Breast Cancer Awareness Month
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are asking all members to wear something pink on Sunday, October 20, 2019.
The next Barbershop Talk will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. All men are invited to come together for fellowship and thought-provoking discussions regarding being God’s Men of IRON. Hurricane Dorian ravaged the country of Bahamas, we want to serve this country by giving financially to help those whom have been misplaced and must rebuild. We are collecting funds today to send to MCHCA Disaster Relief. If you give via Givelify, please select Hurricane Relief, if you are using your envelope, select Missions or use Other and write in Hurricane Relief.
Beginning Sunday, October 6, 2019 through Sunday, November 17, 2019 we will be collecting non expired, non-perishable food and drinks as well as toiletries (men and women). There will be collection bins labeled and located outside of the sanctuary for donations. Our pantry will open in November. For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org.
PSJBC Prayer Meeting
Starting October 1, 2019 on the 1st and 4th Tuesdays of every month, we will be gathering here at the church to come together to pray at 6:00am -7:00am and in the evening at 7:30pm. Prayer is a time to call on the Lord for our church, our families, for direction and for our country. Join us for this season of prayer. As we cry out to God, we are believing Him for healing, miracles and breakthroughs.
